Refund Policy
OneVisa is built on trust. Our money-back guarantee exists because we're confident in our process. This page explains exactly when refunds apply and how they work.
1. What You Pay and When
When you apply for a visa through OneVisa, you only pay the government visa fee upfront. Our service fee of ₹500 is charged only after your visa is approved. This means:
- If we file your application and it's rejected, you pay nothing to OneVisa
- You pay only the government's fee at the time of application
- Our service fee is billed after approval via the payment method on file
2. Government Fee Refunds
Government visa fees are generally non-refundable, even in case of rejection. This is standard across all countries. The fee goes directly to the issuing authority (Embassy, Consulate, or Immigration Department) and is processed as soon as the application is submitted.
When We Refund the Government Fee
OneVisa refunds the full government fee in the following cases:
- Rejection due to our error: If your visa is rejected because of a mistake we made (wrong form field, missed document, incorrect formatting), we refund 100% of the government fee plus any fees you paid.
- Application not submitted: If you cancel before we submit your application to the government portal, we refund the full amount minus any already-incurred costs.
- Duplicate payment: Technical errors leading to duplicate charges are refunded within 3-5 business days.
3. When Refunds Do Not Apply
We cannot refund the government fee if:
- The visa is rejected due to your personal eligibility issues (insufficient funds, past visa rejections, travel history)
- You provided inaccurate information in the application (wrong passport details, fake documents)
- Your passport validity is insufficient or passport is damaged
- You fail to provide required supporting documents after multiple requests
- You change your mind after the application has been submitted to the government
4. OneVisa Service Fee Refunds
Since our ₹500 service fee is only charged after approval, there's no refund process for service fees. If your application is rejected, the service fee is never charged in the first place.
If your visa is approved and you're unhappy with our service, contact us on WhatsApp within 7 days of approval and we'll review your case. Reasonable complaints will result in a full refund of the ₹500 service fee.
5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe your visa was rejected due to our error, or you qualify for a refund under the conditions above:
- Email us at refunds@getonevisa.com within 14 days of receiving the rejection
- Include your application reference number, passport details, and a screenshot or copy of the rejection letter
- Our team will review your case within 3 business days
- If approved, refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 7 business days
6. Processing Time for Refunds
- Razorpay / UPI refunds: 3-5 business days
- Card refunds: 7-10 business days (depends on issuing bank)
- Net banking refunds: 5-7 business days
7. Our Accountability
Our approval rate across all countries we serve is 98%. The rare rejections that happen are typically due to applicant-side issues (document forgery, insufficient funds, criminal record) rather than mistakes on our side. That said, we stand behind our work. If we made the error, we make it right.
8. Dispute Resolution
If you believe a refund was unfairly denied, you can escalate:
- First escalation: Reply to the original refund response explaining your case
- Second escalation: Email support@getonevisa.com with subject "Refund Escalation"
- Final recourse: You have the right to pursue consumer disputes through appropriate forums under Indian consumer protection law
