At OneVisa, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you apply for a visa through our service, how we use it, and the steps we take to protect it.

1. Information We Collect

When you apply for a visa through OneVisa, we collect:

  • Personal details: Full name, date of birth, gender, nationality
  • Contact information: Email address, phone number
  • Passport details: Passport number, expiry date, scanned copies of front and back pages
  • Travel information: Destination, travel dates, accommodation, port of entry
  • Documents: Passport photo, profile photo, supporting documents uploaded during application
  • Payment information: Processed through Razorpay (we do not store card details)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Process your visa application with the relevant government authority
  • Verify your documents for accuracy before submission
  • Communicate application status updates via email, SMS, or WhatsApp
  • Process payments via Razorpay
  • Provide customer support when you reach out

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure using Firebase (Firestore for application data, Firebase Storage for documents). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption.

Passport scans and photos are automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after your visa is issued (or 30 days after rejection, whichever applies). We retain minimal metadata (name, application ID, country, status) for accounting and compliance purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We share limited information with trusted third parties only when necessary:

  • Government visa portals: Required fields submitted to process your application
  • Razorpay: Payment processing (we send amount, currency, and your contact info)
  • Firebase (Google): Authentication and data storage
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery
  • Vercel: Website hosting and analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication (Firebase Auth) and Vercel Analytics for anonymous page-view tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

6. Your Rights

Under Indian data protection laws and general best practices, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

7. Children's Privacy

OneVisa is intended for adults applying for visas for themselves or accompanied minors. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without parental consent.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
